Artists tend to value recognition over compensation

If recognition is a higher value to you than the reward of compensation and the building of a stable solid business...unfortunately that recognition is false. You can’t value recognition for your art over the stability of your music business and finances.

You must understand how business works in order to create your own economy, or you’ll be ignorant and vulnerable to predators in the industry, and there are a lot of them.

That’s why so many artists are taken advantage of: they have no idea how to do business at all. The people who DO know recognize this ignorance in artists and have taken advantage of them to this day. They’ve stolen millions.
